Upgrading to a new Powerful Dedicated Server!

Blog is now Hosted on New Powerful Dedicated Servers

Thanks to your continued support, we’ve outgrown our Basic Dedicated Server and will be upgrading to a new Powerful Dedicated Server.

You may have noticed the site temporary go down ever so often (Internal Server 500 Error) whenever my traffic spiked. This upgrade will fix the issue and much more. My goal is to give you the best user experience possible by having an extremely reliable and fast loading website.

I’ll be making the upgrade this weekend which means I won’t be posting any new deals this weekend. The site will still be up and running while I upgrade the server in the background. I’ll start posting new deals again on Monday.

Blog News: Update on Website Downtime & Emergency Network Maintenance (Dec 9)

Website Downtime Update

My web host HostGator.com experienced major networking outages and required emergency maintenance yesterday (Friday, December 9, 2016). This caused all of my blogs/websites and millions of websites around the world to go offline for about 12 hours (starting around 2pm MT yesterday). Here’s more details about the issue if you’re interested.

I spent most of yesterday clicking the refresh button hoping my sites would be back online. I was very frustrated and wished there was something I could do. I was told to be patient and that it was their #1 priority to fix the issue. Thankfully, it looks like HostGator has FINALLY fixed the issue and all sites are finally working again 🙂

We are currently experiencing network issues affecting a number of customer sites. Our sincere apologies for the disruption. Please know we are working to resolve the matter immediately. At present, we’re working to correct a networking issue affecting the following servers:

  • All gator2000 and gator3000 series servers.
  • All web2000 series servers.
  • Multiple VPS servers.
  • Multiple dedicated servers (Linux and Windows).
  • Multiple Cloud and Optimized WordPress servers.

Boxing Week 2014: Best Boxing Week Sales and Deals

UPDATE: Lots of Canadian retailers have recently start to extend Boxing Day into Boxing Week so there’s more time for shoppers to take advantage of all the great deals. I revised my Boxing Day post from yesterday and have removed all the 1-day only (Dec 26) deals.

Boxing Day was on Friday, December 26, 2014! Boxing Day is the biggest shopping day of the year in Canada! Most Canadian retailers will drastically slash their prices and offer blow-out sales. Lots of merchants are starting their Boxing Day sales early online and In-Store sales on Dec. 26th.

Boxing Day Tip: Avoid the hordes of shoppers and long line-ups at the mall and shop online! Most retailers offer the same deals online and free shipping.
